WWE Raw Result

June 21, 2021

Tampa, Florida (Yuengling Center)

Commentary: Jimmy Smith, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton

We go live into the WWE ThunderDome to see a pyrotechnics display. The Money in the Bank briefcases are shown hanging about the ring. We’ll have 5 Money in the Bank Qualifying Matches tonight.

The show opens with Bobby Lashley and his entourage making their entrance.

Montel Vontavious Porter interviews Bobby and he talks about beating Drew McIntyre last night. MVP looks around the lounge and sees two alpha males, five beautiful women, and a bottle of champagne, and that makes for a hell of a party. Porter offers a toast—

Enter the New Day, with a cart full of actual toasted bread.

They want to join in and they do so by throwing the toast into the ring. Montel says this clown nonsense is exactly why they were watching Hell in a Cell and not main eventing it like Bobby Lashley there. Once we get back to live crowds, they’re still gonna be cosplaying and playing video games while he and Lashley enjoy the finer things.

Kofi Kingston says they’re not going anywhere and it’s well documented that he surrounds himself with his friends and family rather than users that will chew you up and spit you out. He’s got a question for Bob— will MVP and his special lady friends will be coming around after he beats him for the title?

Lashley says he doesn’t have anything to worry about because he’s never losing the title to somebody too busy dancing and making pancakes to realize that he lost the title. There’s a hierarchy in this world, and Bob is on top while New Day are way down at the bottom.

Kofi reminds him that he beat Daniel Bryan to win the title in the first place and just last month, he beat him in this very ring! Kingston rolls the footage to make his point. So Kofi challenges him to a rematch at Money in the Bank and Bob accepts, but he wants a match against Xavier Woods tonight.

Xavier calls him a toxic testosterone meathead and admits that everybody thinks he’s the weak link in New Day but he’s got his accolades too, most importantly being an 11-time tag team champion. And one more thing... their match tonight will be inside of Hell in a Cell!
